    St Davids Day in Wales

Decided to go on the annual St Davids Day Parade around town yesterday. And what a great parade it was. So here are a few pics if you want to come along with me.
Walked across the Cardiff Barrage first to a nice little butcher in Penarth who make lovely home made Lasagne.
It was a very pleasant but cold brisk walk.

Then its was bus back into the centre and a quiet pint of Abbot Ale to fuel up ready for the march.

After a rousing rendition of the Welsh National Anthem at the end it was time to go and refurel again before going home.

I think - and he can correct me if I'm wrong - MacMillan's Son was referring to the hats the gentlemen in this pic were wearing:

It is a small world Trefor. Bought my Mandolin and Mandola from him many years ago when he had his shop in Old Cwmbran. Will definitely sort the parade for next year.

Eagle - those hats and indeed the outfits in the same picture are not Welsh so I have no idea.

The St David's Day event in Cardiff is usually supported by other groups within Europe and indeed the costumes look more Eastern than Western Europe.
