We'll be there. We're camping in mee 5-star tent up the road so bad weather is a cert, if my track record is owt to go by.

Actually I like that part of the world and spent many a happy hour in the Asbourne/Leek/Buxton/Bakewell area, in another life. I wish that I could join you at Asbourne, but sadly I can not find away to arrange things to be able to make it. Have fun.

Nothing grim about the Ashbourne area; it may be a trifle damp on occasions, but coming from Scotland, that is more or less what you expect.

There is great scenery around Leek and the Peak district in Derbyshire, all less than ½ hour away, definitely worth a visit.
