    Lamont Modern kilt

After quite a wait for the tartan to arrive, I was able to pick up my Lamont Modern Kilt from John this past week. It is 16 oz Jura from House of Edgar pleated to the stripe. This afternoon I talked my wife into taking some photos. (I'm not sure she understands all this, but she's a good sport.) She doesn't like the lovat blue hose and said she thinks it would look better with white or black hose. (I almost fell over laughing at that one ... the two colours of distain here at Xmarks.) So what do you think of the hose? The jacket is an ebay find that needs a little tailoring, but it was okay for the photos.

Thanks John! It's a lovely kilt.

Looks grand. Maybe some Lovat Green Hose would look nice.

    Kilt looks grand!
I think I have to agree with your wife on the hose. With the blue jacket, there just seem to be too many different blues at once. If it were me I'd go for my tried-and-true oatmeal hose with a shirt of the same color.

Looking Good! Lovat Green Hose would work. I personally think the jacket looks good as well.

Always listen to your wife. While I do not dislike the lovat blue, I would ordinarily prefer black or white hose with that great-looking kilt.

Very nice Argyll! To my eye your white shirt and blue Argyll together blend nicely with the lovat blue in that outfit. Very handsome.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.
