Boston Marathon
Keep the families and Loved Ones of the Boston Marathon explosions in your thoughts and prayers.
Very little is known at the moment.

Terrible indeed. As of right now, local authorities have confirmed 2 people dead and over 23 people admitted to local hospitals. Hopefully those numbers do not climb. Let's keep all those affected in our thoughts and prayers at this time.
God Bless,

My oldest niece, Emily, was at the finish line just hours ago, with her boyfriend. She has let us all know she's ok, but my brother (her dad) is shaken. I texted him, and his spelling was terrible.

UPDATE: 49 confirmed injured.
An additional bomb was controlled-detonated at the JFK Library.

What should have been a triumphant day! This is just horrible. I am so sorry for everyone and will offer prayers.

This is so sad at what should be a happy public event divorced from politics and where the city is hosting people from all around the world. I pray the casualties don't increase further.

As I said to an old school friend from Uddingston on Facebook earlier this afternoon when she was asking about my proximity to today's tragic event; "...This is a good place with good people and I feel sick to the stomach thinking that evil has been visited upon them this afternoon."
