    Smartwool or Coolmax hose

So I am trying to save a penny or two by combining my need for casual hose with my need for summer motorcycle socks.

Both are of similar length and the bike socks need to be wicking which is where Smartwool or Coolmax come in.

I cannot find any plain socks (quite a few with logo's and multi-color) that would do double duty but wondered if anyone here had come across something suitable?

There seem to be plenty of hiking socks but seldom do they come up high enough.

    Thanks in advance.

I used to wear some knee high boots socks for hiking and rough outdoor wear. They were wicking and thick, so they looked a lot like wool hose. they were brown and had a thin red stripe (I think) that did not look bad, so I didn't try to wear flashes.

You can find something like that, no dobut, but here is a site with solid colors you can try:

I'm sure there must be others. Hope this helps.

Thorlo has two over the calf socks they sell as a military sock. Both are wicking with one being a bit more reinforced in the foot section for hiking.

I bought a bunch of Smart Wool socks years ago (including the heavy hiking kind) and don't wear the regular ones anymore at all because they give me foot cramps! The king socks are fine though, and would work with a kilt and boots, butr aren't real high like kilt hose.
