How's THIS for casual daywear?
How is this for casual daywear?
I usually wear my A_Hay custom sporran but I thought that I would give brown a go today.
This was actually my first sporran (from Tartanista).
My belt is the original [BREN] - Mark I prototype that I made myself.
My kilt is the Holyrood tartan by USA Kilts (P/V woven by Marton Mills, sewn by Ian).
My shirt is by Apartment 9, a casual clothier.
I don't remember where I picked up my hose. It's been a while.
My garter ties were a personal design (red flashes on a Hunter Green garter).
Classic Doc Marten boots shod my feet.
Knowing that there are a few kilt kops I checked my heights and gave it a go.
You've got to love the Thomas Jefferson pose.

I think it's great. Then again, a picture might ruin it...

Looking good OB. Personally I am not a fan of short sleeved shirts or twin chest pockets for wear with a kilt, but, hey that's me. Do like the use of your Docs and that Holyrood tartan looks a different hue everytime a see a photo of someone wearing it. A great tartan.

That is indeed a good pose! Holyrood is a lovely tartan and, overall, I like the look... it took me a couple of careful nit picks to come up with something constructive, which I think is a compliment.
It looks to me like a slightly wider belt would anchor things better and, seeing as you're the belt-maker, that could be another project for you
It also seems that your docs could use some love. Some people like the scuffed look for casual boots, so if you don't want to polish them, you could always use something like mink oil or dubbin to condition and also waterproof the leather. It will darken them a bit, but it's good for the leather and makes them look a bit more cared for.

I can't view the picture, but the description sounds brilliant
