Alternative Kilt Pins

As with my other post about alternative sporrans, I apologise if this subject has been covered before.

I have just purchased my second kilt, less than a week after buying my first one (am totally in love with them). However, as someone who has a habit of being less than conventional with my choice of clothes and accessories, I've been looking for some alternatives to the traditional kilt pin. I understand that opinions vary as to whether or not to place a kilt pin on your kilt, but i've decided that I will do.

Been browsing online and found, what I think, are two really cool alternatives. There's the antelope which i'm thinking of putting on my heritage of scotland tartan kilt

and then there's this awesome dragon which i'm thinking of putting on my new heritage of ireland tartan kilt when it arrives.

what do you guys think? all opinions welcome? have you come across anything different (not daggers or swords or antlers) that you think would work?

Try searching kilt pins on this site and you will get a wealth of variety and creativity in terms of what people have found and made to use as kilt pins. If it appeals to you then wear it.

Oh, and I guess you won't find something more alternative than what we already had on here. Stones, vacuum tubes... you name it we had it

Those are pretty awesome kilt pins. My favorite kilt pin at the moment is a Star Trek engineering insignia pin.

Sweet pins!

I am currently rocking the Lego bagpiper figure, I added lead to the body and feet before epoxying together, then glued the pin on back

Works great!

When I get unpacked from my cross country move I will take a pic of the little guy!

note that "kilt" is not a useful search term. Go figure.

However if you look for thread titles containing "show pins" (as in, show us your kilt pins) you should get a couple of worthwhile veins of gold.
