Black watch tartan with celtic fc shirt
I wear the black watch tartan since my scottish ancestors include Campbells, and I won't go into why I am a Celtic fan and I don't mean to stir up any emotions about the Old Firm rivalry. I was wondering if anyone would frown on me wearing the two together? I don't want to cause controversy if I go walking about around town. I appreciate any and all advise.

I doubt that anyone would even know that there was a possible controversy between the celtic shirt and the black watch kilt walking around Nicholasville, KY.

Exactly, BCAC.
I, too am a fellow Tim. As well, I wear the 'Breadalbane Fencible' for my Uncle Charles (RIP). In this part of NYS, there is a large Scottish Diaspora and the Old Firm splits 50/50. One of my father's friends is from Glasgow by way of Wick - Rangers supporter. But all that stuff died when the gentleman emigrated 'cause they were both Scotsmen in America. At one point, our Bhoys Club shared the pub with a 'Gers Club while Setanta was airing the matches.
No one will recognize the dichotomy. If they do, they will not mention it.

If I can wear a Black Watch tartan and a Welsh National Rugby jersey and do well, you should have no problem with your ensemble. Go for it!!!

Having lived in Nicholasville for almost 30 years, I disagree. There are several of us who would notice, but I doubt any would be bothered

That is why I wrote, "If they do, they will not mention it"

There are several kilt wearers here? I have never seen anyone in this town wear a kilt before. So what I'm getting from everyone is its fine to wear this combo stateside, but probably not a good idea to combine the two in Scotland or Ireland.
