Greetings!
Hello,
My name is Carrie, and I live in Northern Utah, U.S.A. I have two kilt wearing children. My son is 9 years old and is a piper and my daughter is 7 and recently started in Highland Dance.
I came across the site looking for kilt-making workshop info, after heartrendingly having to forgo the last kilt-making workshop being held in my area with Elsie Stuehmeyer due to work constraints. I have "The Art of Kiltmaking," and am currently trying to get up the nerve to order some tartan and try a kilt for my daughter.
Beyond being a pipe band mom, I teach sixth grade, love to sew, knit, spin wool, and research genealogy.
I look forward to digging through the forums!
Carrie

Hello Carrie! Welcome to X Marks from Delaware. You are a very good mother for encouraging your children to accepting and respect the kilt and it's cultural significance. Digg away, you'll find lots of good information, resources and encouragement here on XMTS.
