I have long had an interest in Classical organ music, and was interested to find some compositions which are based on traditional Scottish themes. I came across a series of works by a composer named Ian Major - apparently, he is not himself Scottish, but has developed a particular interest in traditional tunes from the Scottish Highlands. I have now purchased quite a number of his pieces, and have been working on them. Many are very tuneful, though some of the dance and march themes are not suitable for church service use. If you share my interest in the organ (and I realise it's very much a minority interest!) take a look at http://www.animusi.co.uk.page4.htm It often seems that few music lovers venture into the world of the organ - there is a saying among organists that organ music is "written BY organists FOR organists to play to an audience of organists" - so anything which helps break down this barrier is particularly welcome.
