    Brilliant Balmoral from SemperFyffe

    Hello Rabble,
After perusing SemperFyffe's DIY post "Balmoral #3", I asked him if he'd consider making one for me.
Thankfully, he obliged. The following was our process...

Following a few pleasant exchanges, I sent SemperFyffe my final concept art:

In response, he requested a color pallet and the dicing option:

SemperFyffe contacted me with his considered yarn choices:

Once in agreement, construction began and SemperFyffe kept me abreast throughout, to include "in progress" images.
Upon completion, SemperFyffe unveiled a plethora of cockades:

After deciding on conventional black cockade, ribbon and liner, my Balmoral arrived.
I blocked it using Jock's process muddled with that of previous experience. Below is how I wear it.
Keep in mind, I'm hardly a head model. Simply, I place my ribbon and badge in the correct location,
grab the bonnet and pull down. Remember this when considering SemperFyffe's brilliant production:

I am beyond well chuffed and highly recommend his Balmoral - particularly for those who seek be spoke hand-knits.

Dropped over here after Domehead referenced this thread in another. This is indeed a brilliant piece of work. I'm particularly fond of the atypical cockade.

Very nice Balmoral, Domehead; I noticed it in pictures of you and your wife, that were posted in another thread. SemperFyffe did an outstanding job with it.

Does this mean that we now have to call you "Covered Domehead" now?
Simon Fraser fought as MacShimidh, a Highland chief… wrapped and belted in a plaid over the top of his linen shirt, like his ordinary kinsmen. He put a bonnet on his head, and stuck the Fraser emblem, a sprig of yew, in it. With the battle cry, A'Chaisteal Dhunaidh and the scream of the pipes, they charged to battle.
