Xmarkers get medieval at Higgins Armory Museum

Had a GREAT time at the museum today. Anyone who enjoys history will love this collection of armor a mostly edged weapons.

what trumps four guys in kilts? One raven haired woman in chainmail!!!

Appears to me there is really only one name that most of us are interested in, hers! LOL!

Nice picture. Thanks. Who are the X Markers? And, their monikers? Yes, including the lady with the million-dollar smile. How heavy is that chainmail?

I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

I think she said it weighed 27 lbs. We are from left to right, Boarder Reiver, Tulloch, Bluescelt and Spartan Tartan.

The museum is a treasure. Bluescelt and I remember going there decades ago as kids. I went in 5th grade - Ms. Wisneski's class from Woodstock Elementary School. I never forgot it. I have returned three times - twice in the last two years to see the program on the Celts. The woman who does the lecture / demonstration is nice, articulate and friendly. The museum, sadly, will close because of lack of a sufficient endowment. The collection is being transferred to the Worcester Art Museum after December 31st of this year.

I will be traveling in some days to Glasgow and its environs. This was another opportunity to explore the qualities of my new iphone as a camera. The results are pleasing. Photos follow:

27 lbs. Wow! What a load to tote around. It must feel good when you take it off. I wish I could drop that much as quickly.

Thanks for the monikers. I should have recognized Spartan Tartan. I've seen his pictures before. You all look great in those kilted outfits. Also, thank for all the armor pics. Very impressive.
