What day is it today?.....?

Robbie Burns Day - wonderful, Tartan Day - great, New Years - terrific, but what about today???

Let's see... For those that might need a reason to wear a kilt today, you might consider one of the following:
Today is....
1. Longshanks Day - born April 25, 1284 Edward II (king of England).
2. Cromwell Day - Born this day in 1599 Oliver Cromwell (Puritan lord protector of England)(Puritan lord protector of England).
3. Presley Day - Gladys L Presley (mother of Elvis presley) born April 25, 1912.

Other important birthdays...
1980 Jacob Unerwood (singer)
1969 Renee Zellweger (actress)
1964 Hank Azaria (actor)
1946 Talia Shire (actress)
1945 Stu Cook (singer, bass player)
1945 Bjorn Ulvaeus (singer - abba)
1940 Al Pacino (actor)
1918 Ella Fitzgerald (singer)
1908 Edward R Murrow (newscaster)
1900 Wolfgang Pauli (physicist)
1840 Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky (Russian composer)

If these folks have anything to do with kilts it will be a stretch for sure! But then any excuse is good enough for me!

Hank Azaria does voices for the Simpsons, a show in which Homer was once seen in a kilt
and Renee Zellweger was in "Down With Love" alongside Ewan McGregor, a Scot often times seen in a kilt.

Stretched enough for ya?

I was in a store a while ago (My first outing in my kilt) and the shopkeeper asked me if there was some Scottish celebration and I said that it was just Saturday.

Needless to say he gave me a look but on we when with the conversation.
