    Yet more terrible taxidermy

I honestly can't believe what comes up on ebay sometimes. I'm beginning to think these are put up for sale as a joke.

The headed one is stamped Lawrie on the back but interior shots make it obvious that somebody tacked this terror onto an existing sporran body. Perhaps the moths had gotten to the original? In any case, they're both horrors in their own right.

Horrible examples of full-mask sporrans indeed.

    Exactamundo, I say!

Not that I haven't been guilty of doing that myself! Years ago I joined a band which wore white rabbit-fur Evening sporrans. The sporran I ended up with wasn't rabbit but scraggly threadbare pony, so I bought a nice full fluffy rabbit pelt and cut and sewed it on myself right over the existing (nearly bald) fur. It was a fairly neat job and whoever has that sporran now might think the rabbit fur was original. (I made three matching tassels too.)

Hey I found a photo of me wearing it (post-modification)

A new way to wear sporran. One for the front, and one for the back!

They look like they're both made from the same roadkill.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Oh dear! I suppose you could punch a couple of holes in the bag they came in and put it over your head so nobody would know who bought these unfortunate creatures!
    Regards, Sav.
