    I came running back

I have just paid one of my increasingly rare visits to Tom's Cafe. I just don't seem to find the posts to be as interesting as they used to be. I hadn't got very far when I suddenly realised why I don't go to Tom's as often. There was a reply to a post from a new member, in which he started going on about fluffy white petticoats. Have you ever had that feeling that you don't belong somewhere? Well I certainly had one right there and then. I couldn't get back here quickly enough. I must have broken a world record (at my age).

Rob (whose visits to Tom's will be even less frequent)

I'll have to agree with Rob.

While I have absolutely no problem with cross dressing/dressers or dressing feminine it's just not my bag.

I used to go to Tom's cafe exclusively thinking that it was the only active website addressing the whole kilt topic........I'm glad I found this place!
I increasingly found myself sorting through topics trying to find something that suited my interests, needless to say, they were few and far between.

I really have no personal objections to men wearing women's skirts, I in fact encourage ANYONE to do what their heart tells them is right, as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else....In certain cases if a man decides to wear women's clothing it often causes some embarassment or other emotional strains among his family, which obviously can be defined as hurting people.
Other than that.I say more power to them :-)

For me, wearing a kilt is an incredibly uplifting experience. I really feel a sense of pride in my heritage, and feel a kind of warrior's spirit.

I feel very out of place amongst men discussing the finer points of wearing women's clothing :-)

    I'm glad I found this place :-)

Forgive me being "picky" about the expression "I don't have a problem", (just playing with words here) but it seems to me that those who cross dress are the ones with a problem.

It's not "my bag" either, but I want no association with that kinda thing unless I can be in a position to offer counselling.

Many of those posting at Tom's have an entirely different agenda from mine. As far as I'm concerned, there are no (zero, zilch, zippo) connections with the M.O. of the fine folks posting here. I haven't bothered going back to Tom's since the MSM fiasco. (I joined his board the day after it saw first light.) It became crystal clear that there just wasn't anything of importance to me being posted at Tom's anymore. Between here and kiltmen.com, I need look no further.

    Rob,

I am glad to hear reports about white petticoats, but not on males. I never did post because I just felt like I was an oddball. We seem to all have the same ideas here, that Tom's is not the place for us kilt wearers. I know that Tom wanted to include us when he started it, but somehow things changed. I am glad for this forum here, and will continue posting without mention of anybodies white petticoat.

Like Phil H I drop by a couple of times a week, but like him have to pick through the topics. I really don't care what anyone wears, it's just the feminine stuff doesn't interest me, and I haven't got a 'cause' to bang on about.
I've now also met a few of the guy's on there at a recent kilt night and keep up with them through that forum.
    Cheers Rhino

I used to frequent Tom's, and don't anymore. My main objection was that the crossdressers would take a very smug, condescending attitude toward the Bravehearts. Their position was that we are ALL crossdressers, and they are simply more brave than we.

It used to be that Tom's was the testing ground for the two camps, and the debate was fierce. Nowadays, the debate is over; they won. Tom's is now the place where crossdressers can pretend that they're simply the most highly progressive of biological males. I have no idea if they still discuss changing gender, as they used to do from time to time. And it's where they can congratulate themselves for saving the Million Skirted Man march from being a farcical showcase for underdeveloped crossdressers.

Good riddance to that. I'll miss the debate, but not the forum.
