Kilted Week After Week
Well, my full-time Kilt-wearing has lent itself to a routine in choices of kilts.
Sunday: This is Church Day, so I always wear tartan. During I will wear either my light-weight Black Watch Kilt or Royal Stewart Kilt with Kilt hose, and hiking boots.
Monday-Thursday: I wear tartan to work during the week. Generally on Monday, I'll be wearing my Black Watch kilt on Monday and Thursday as that's when the Bear Kilt is washed. Now, that it's getting warmer, instead of the Black Watch I wore a plaid lightweight King Kilt last week in place of the wool Black Watch. No one noticed the deviation. I'm also skipping Kilt hose during the week and just wearing normal socks and sandals, but I do change into Kilt Hose before Mid-week services.
Friday: Generally, Friday's been status Quo as the rest of the week. But, I'm trying to ease in some plain colored kilts to my work selection, so every other Friday I'm going to be rotating between my Black Corduroy King Kilt and my Olive Amerikilt until mid-October when things start to cool down.
Saturday: This is a hodgepodge day where I'll wear one of the kilts I don't wear during the week: the Black Cord, Olive Amerikilt, Blue Camo King Kilt, or the Denim Kilt around the house, to the park, or out to Wal-Mart (if we're shopping). Does anyone else have a schedule like this?

I usually check the weather to see what weight would be appropriate. Then I choose from that weight a tartan or colour I feel like wearing.
Nothing resembling a schedule, though. Far too organised for my tastes.

I've only got one at the moment. So have no choice.
However I've worn my 8 yard medium weight a good deal in warm weather, and it is.. well....very warm.
Canada would no doubt be very similar in climate to Norway (30c+ in summer -30 or below in winter). What would you recommend.

Sounds like you have a well organised week, well done Elijah, and I guess it's nice to have that much choice, as Freelander says, we are not all in that position.
I also tend to let the weather and the occasion determine my choice of kilts.

Well, Winter hits really bad, the Schedule will change to:
Sunday-Friday: 22 oz. Tartan Kilt.
Saturday: Blue Camo or Denim Kilt

Here in Vancouver the weather is milder than the rest of Canada. We get down to freezing temps in the winter but not much colder. In the summer we get thirty degrees on a rare day. Usually mid twenties.
I still find I pick my kilts for the weather because it can, (like today), get a bit muggy.
I have gone through a winter with just a 4 yard kilt but I now have heavier kilts, so I don't have to put myself through that. Summer in a heavy kilt is worse for me than winter in a light kilt.
I think two kilts is an absolute minimum if you wear kilts every day. You'll need more if you plan to attend formal functions and want to always be properly dressed. (Hamish has said he has a kilt for any occasion.) While I don't feel the need to be that prepared, I have several to choose from, including two green Irish kilts of different weights.
My 6 yard Cape Breton and my 8 yard green Irish are the two I like the best. We'll see how I like the formal cut and the wool classic cut I'll make after that.

Bear, I'm jealous of you, being able to make whatever kilt you need for any given situation.

bikercelt1,
I'm also able to make whatever kilt you need for any given situation. (Couldn't resist.)

I have both medium and heavyweight and find them both fine in warm weather... as long as you can move around a bit. The secret, of course, is the "bellows" action of the kilt construction. Although that regimantal weight kilt of Elijahs' might be a different story.

Bear you're absolutely right, I already had it figured out wear to send the next two nickels I could rub together. I keep looking at the pictures of Andrew's Anderson kilt.
