Farley Mowat dies at 92
Heard this bit on NPR and figured I would share it. Unfortunately I can only say his name sounded familiar, but I have not read any of his books. The word "kilt" popping out got me to listen more intently and I now plan to check out some of his books as they certainly appear to be good reads, despite the controversy of some.

He lived a long life but shall be missed by the wild nation he so ably depicted in his works.

Rest in Peace Farley Mowat, you brought untold joy to me and the entire country. I will always remember reading The Dog Who Wouldn't Be as a child. Nathan is correct Farley Mowat was a National treasure, in Canada and he will be missed, it is heartening that he lived a long and full life and I am certain that his books will be enjoyed for generations.

I apologise for not writing up a better post, but hope others who are in the same boat will check him out as well. I've been catching up by watching some interviews on youtube and look forward to some reading. His enthusiasm for life and nature comes through in every word, and is infectious.

One thing that shocked me was that everyone that knew him mentioned his love of kilts but I can't find of kilted photo of him online. I found one photo of Mowat in a diced balmoral bonnet but no kilted photo.
