One of my "stock" answers to "What's under the kilt?" <wink> <wink> <nudge> <nudge>
is "Insect repellent" -- not a problem this time of year here, but wait 'till November rolls
around again.
I've lived in places where those blackflies or their cousins lived -- I can't say that I miss them,
though our local mozzies make up for their lack of numbers with sheer voraciousness.

Oh so true BCAC, I am about to go on my yearly sojourn to the the tropics and have four bottles packed for myself and "she that must be obeyed" Would not travel without it. Cheers
Shoot straight you bastards. Don't make a mess of it. Harry (Breaker) Harbord Morant - Bushveldt Carbineers
Thankfully our midges are the non-biting variety (not the black flies or mosquitos of course) but boy have they really been a pest this year! Looks like it's going to be a bad year for bugs.

Funnily enough, well not really, I got my 1st couple of midge bites this evening. Skin So Soft doesn't work on me. If you are susceptible to being bitten, stand next to me; the midges will leave you alone in favour of feasting on me. Where is the deet?
