My Kids say I'm going Kilt crazy !!! What do you think

well as those of you who have read my posts will know im Brand new to kilts and know absolutely nothing about them what so ever. I got my first kilt not quight 6 weeks back now.

I had been on the look out for an Ex army Blackwatch for about 6 months with no luck in getting 1 my size. So as I wanted it for a bike show im Doing in Edinburgh on the 9th an 10th and want every one to be kilted for the show and could see me ending up with out 1 I just got what ever would fit me .I got a flower of Scotland a kilt almost 5" to big and made it smaller as I could se time running out. Ive look on the net 2 or 3 times a day scanning all kind of places on the look out for my blackwatch. well ive ended up with a few from a car boot a few from a lady selling her grandfathers kilts and a few I got from the MOD and a couple from E bay I liked the look of like the Hunting pride of Scotland.

Some I cant keep as they are to small but it was a get them all or don't them at all like the 5 I hade last Friday only 1 will fit me the rest are to small so I will have to pass them on, like the jacket I had to get with my first kilt that I will never have on .

any way I've only been using them for 6 weeks now and this is my collection of kilts My kids say ive gone Kilt crazy what do you think . LOL

    I think its awesome.
Great collection. Funny thing, after seeing the blackwatch kilt photos you posted, I started looking for a regiment/ex army one. Unfortunately the one you have for sale is too small for me.
    Thanks for sharing the photo.

    It's a rhetorical question, isn't it?

You've finally come into your genius. Send your kids out selling cookies to support you in your kilt-quest. It's the least they could do.

Well of course the bottom 3 are all 1950's Vintage kilts and way to small. I turned the far right MacLauchlan ancient up 5" so it would fit my son . The far left Macgregor I put Velcro on for his sister. the bottomm middle Maclean I just sold.

The top 5 I just got and only the top right 1 will fit me properly the green on I will keep to lend out at a bike show the others I will sell as they are to small .

So reoly I only have the middle ones and the middle left Blackwatch is all so to small so im having to sell that as well. But if you don't take a punt on these things you never know.

So in the end I only have the 5 in the middle that fit me so I don't really have that many to use, but they do look nice all laid out like this so I thought id take the pic before I post the maclean one of and get the others sold .

My kids still think im crazy .

I just corrected the titles on a couple of your threads - this is because I can and you can't - one of the mod powers.

It is nothing personal - I am slightly dyslexic and it bothers me - probably more than most people. I wouldn't have mentioned it if it was just the one - just didn't want you to think I was picking on you.

Been thinking of getting a Holyrood as my next kilt; a mighty fine tartan, in my opinion.
