Kilt ID please . Well 5 Kilts ID Actually :)
These are the kilts from a lady's late grandfather. she told me she had no idea what they were only that he was a 36" waste and they are wool as the tags say so.
They are in deed wool. I have measured them and 3 are 12ft 1 is 14ft and 1 is 16ft of tartan
The Buckles are bit flimsy on them all so I think ill replace them on the 1 I shall keep for my self.
So if any experts can id them for me that would be great. I did a search on the kilt registry but you need to put in a name to fined the set and I have no idea.

The 1st one I will keep its the 16ft one and it a 36" just so it will fit me

The 2nd has a pice put in so it makes 36"and will all so fit me and as the insert is on the inner apron side and cant be seen I will keep this so I can lend it out at the bike show

you can see the piece that has been put in hear

These 3 are the 12ft small ones I think they are 32" they don't fit me by a long way. There were to many images in 1 thread so I have had to split the pics these are the other ones.

The first you plan to keep is Holyrood. The second is Lamont (a black-watch based with white stripes). I'm not sure about the other three.

Well, aren't you the lucky one!
the first kilt is Holyrood
The second is Lamont ancient (I'm particularly green with envy on that one as it is my tartan and I want one in ancient colours)
The third would appear to be dress McKenzie
... the final two I'm going to leave to others, as they aren't tartan I readily recognize.

I don't think tape measures in yards exist! Oh and BTW Peter (figheadair) is a reknowned tartan specialist and part of the Scottish Tartan Authority. We consider ourselves lucky to have him as a member here.
