Hello from the majestic Catskill mountains
Hello,
New to the board, but lurking for some time.
Thanks to this board, I found USAKilts. Just got my new Buchanan pub kilt. Very nicely made here in the USA. Impressed by the quality for this price paid.
Ordered my youngest son's new kilt from HighlandKilts.Com. They were very nice, took custom measurements and I'm awaiting his kilt any time now. I will report on it when it comes in. If nice, I may buy one from them as well.
Thinking of getting MacLaren kilt for my son and I from Stillwater, as me mum is a Petrie and they are a Sept of that clan. And I'm a old Boy Scout and my son starts scouting this year, and do I really need a reason to buy another kilt?
When funds allow, planning on a full wooly in Walters tartan, you know, because odd Welsh tartans as cheap and plentiful.
Quite frankly, and I hope I don't offer when I say this, but I like how my bullocks swing in a kilt. FREEDOM! I'm never going back, and I need to Goodwill my pants to make room for comfortable apparel in my closet.
Are canvas and twill utility kilts worth it? Do they function well or do they just look like a bag of after the first wash?
