August Challenge- ACTION pictures in your kilt
It's time again, to battle the Ogres of conformity and perfect pleats.
I dare you to show us all a picture of yourself, doing something ACTIVE and PHYSICAL in your kilt. Swilling beer doesn't count, and the first guy who puts up a picture of himself standing perfectly poised in the ideal position to show off his pleats to good account, gets them dumped in horse manure. And the first guy who even DARES to write "THCD" whatever the hell that is...
Well. You're just a bluidy numpty if you do that..

Here are mine. Backhold wrestling at the Inverary Highland Games. I got two falls, and initiated and controlled a third, but we hit the ground at the same time for a null. He got three falls, and won.

Creagdhubh,
What's the tartan that the guy is wearing in the 5th photo from the top?
(the guy closest to the camera with his left side/back to us?)

That's my good mate, Donald Mackintosh (Clan Chattan member, and his parents have a house in Newtonmore, so he's always hanging about with the Macpherson lot) wearing the Mackintosh clan tartan in modern colours.

I should have recognised it immediately....but it's a completely different sett than that worn by the pipers of the Hong Kong Police!
Thanks.....I like it!

This might be a tough one - I don't get up to much in the way of physical activity. Not that I can't - I just prefer not to...I do plan to get a bike in the future though...

If this topic remains open for a while, I'll try to post photos of Kilt Kamp participants tackling their wool fabric in 30 degree C heat in Victoria on Sunday.....some of them will even be in kilts! It will be strenuous. -- except for Steve and Barb, who always look relaxed.

....have to say that Creagdhubh's first photo does show off the pleats in his (Ancient?) MacPherson kilt rather well.
Where was event held?
