149th Scottish Highland Gathering & Games in Pleasanton, CA Aug. 30th-31st
If anyone else from XMTS is going it might be nice to list who and when so we can look for each other.
I am not yet sure when so I will have to post that later, but I thought we might want to have a thread.
Time to bust out your dandelions!

While family commitments make keep me elsewhere, I know that the Clan Mackintosh Associated General Meeting (AGM) will be there and there will be some grouping of the US Chattan Confederated clan groups (sites 110-126). So any cat clan folks on or near the western US might consider the trip.

Being that my work is as an on call basis my wife and I are not 100% sure we'll make it. If you do we will be hanging out around the Clan Douglas tent. Right now about 90% sure we will be there both days.

Thanks for posting this. Stop by the McNaughton "hospitality" tent after the daily "Parade of the Clans" for an X-Marks meet-up, a wee dram, and photographs.

What time is the daily parade of clans? When is it usually over?
I would love to stop by. I'm Clan Lamont but not working the tent. I think it is assigned to 109-110 this year. I can try and bring my family by your tent if I know the time.
The only thing that could get in the way would be the whisky class. I missed tickets last year and although I taught a course on whisky (and whiskey) back in college I need a refresher as I am donating a tasting night to other parents for charity at my elementary school this Fall and it's been almost 20 years.
Otherwise I would love to meet some other XMTS members!

What time is the parade scheduled? Or when is it held? Those are often different. Anyway, it's usually some time between 11:00 a.m. and noon. Regardless, look for the long queue of clan members and pipe bands marching out to stand on the race track in front of the grandstands. When everyone is dismissed you'll see the throngs of people return to the clan areas. Looking forward to meeting you there.

This is good to know. I will have to drop by and let them know about the Wildcat tartan.
