Atricle about the "Heavies" in Scotland... this is a good one

I think this article really is the best one I've ever seen about the Heavy Athletics, and particularly about the athletes themselves. I happen to be interviewed for the article, which is amazing to me, but a 57 year old Californian does stand out a bit on the field at the Games.

Anyway, it's a little bit on the gritty side, but it's REAL. Hope you enjoy it.

A very interesting article. Alan H, what a philosopher you are! I`m happy for you that you took the opportunity to go there and compete.

A really fascinating article, and it makes X Markers proud to see their own Alan featured in it.
But with our enthusiasm for things Scottish, we should also be outraged at the lack of interest in Highland games on the part of the Scottish government.
They have a duty to Scotland’s history and culture to ensure that this aspect of the country’s life does not disappear, as it seems doomed to do under current circumstances.

Great article there. Can't wait for the local games here in St Louis, almost ashamed to say that I've never been.

What an interesting read. It provided some insight into a whole other mindset for wearing the kilt
