    hat to wear

I do not have a balmoral nor will I be able to get one by the games I am attending, so which hat/cap do you think is best. I will be wearing a small-pattern houndstooth braemar. This is a hanna hats donegal tweed flat capimages (2).jpg this is a Harris tweed trilby/fedora which I call my siegfried hat images (4).jpg just to be clear I do not own the hat used by Robert hardy I just used a stock photo. The hat is nearly exactly the same though.

I've worn a flat cap with my kilt but be warned there are those who frown upon this practice .

My daily hat preference (usually while trousered) is a flat cap, I've got a couple dozen of them and love the fit and look, I say wear one if you like, many people here have a thing against them, but regarding other things will say the kilt is a free dress and there are no kilt police.

Do as you like good sir!

To tell you the truth I don't see why anyone has anything against them as they were worn in scotland and at a time they were mandatory for all men to wear.

A tweed bucket hat is always a good choice!

Don't you agree Jock Scot? (Especially if the alternative is a flat cap!)
