David Tennant kilted at premiere of "What We Did On Our Holiday"
Pictures here and all over twitter if, you search his name. Not sure what to make of the paddock boots with white hose with PC jacket with open collar.

I saw this on social media yesterday. Whereas I do love David Tennant's work as an actor, I must say that he looks a wee bit sloppy and unkept in these photos. Perhaps that's the look he was going for? Who knows.
Thanks for sharing,

The missus raised a good point: The man's an actor, and so must be excused for dressing a bit.. theatrically. It probably doesn't hurt that she fancies him a bit.

I actually don't mind the outfit at all, aside from the color of his socks. What really doesn't work for me is the beard, which I think looks more like he just couldn't be bothered to shave rather than rockstar-on-purpose.

The lady's name is Rosamund Pike. An erstwhile Bond girl, and darling of the Brit Period-drama genre.

I agree, he looks like a train wreck AND a poseur, but as Creag suggests, and sad to say, it probably is intentional. As the late, great James Coburn lamented, in an interview not long before his death, about the slovenly, grungy, grubby public appearance of most of the younger generation of Hollywood Leading Men--e.g. Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp, et al.-- "Nobody has Style anymore."

In the side by side photo Ms. Pike can be compared to a flawless gem, cut by a master and polished to perfection. Extending the analogy to Mr. Tennant would involve gravel from the roadbed of a country lane.

It seems to be the 'in thing' at the moment for celebrities to dress in such a manner.
To me however, he looks as if he is heading home after a spectacularly good night out, rather than heading to one. A look that is more 'Walk of Shame' than 'Walk down the red carpet'.

Precisely, Richard! My thoughts for what they're worth: "Mr. Tennant, you're a world class actor, dress like it." George Clooney, among other fine gentlemen of similar ilk, seem to understand this.
