Full dress set (sporran, dirk, etc.) on Antiques Roadshow

Lovely set just appraised in Knoxville TN. I especially liked the buttons.

They repeat enough of the shows that I hope to catch it here in Oxford, MS. Did they appraiser give a good assessment of the items?
Just went to the facebook page for Antique Roadshow. They picture the entire set mentioned by sydnie7. Good looking kit. What hair do you think the sporran is made and what are your views on the tassels?

TWELVE THOUSAND DOLLARS? That'd buy a lot of new kilts!

Beautiful set. The buttons are sensibly round as well.

I'd love to find round formal buttons that weren't prohibitively expensive.

sporran was ID'd as ermine. The tassels look a bit tatty to me, needs to see Artificer for a re-bag . Considering the eBay prices we've seen for lone antique sporrans, I don't think the estimate was out of line for this gorgeous matched set. Of course, that opinion is coming from someone who would need a serious lottery ticket hit to be in the market!
