    Wrong avatar

I haven't had a chance to look on my desktop, but on my phone, my avatar has changed to that of Macgregor Macduff's.

Is this an issue specific to my phone or has the forum software glitched?

    Thanks.

Okay, here on the desktop all is good. There's just something going on with my phone, evidently.

I hate to tell you this - but your phone must have a resident gremlin.

Gremlins are close kin to Hobs, but they haunt mobile devices whilst the Hob is a home body.

They are well known to engineers of all persuasions, and have been responsible for aggravation and errors throughout the ages.

If your phone is persistently subject to inexplicable errors you might place a small cup of milk and a biscuit beside it whilst it is charging as a gift to the gremlin. Chocolate biscuits are thought to be the most effective.

This gremlin must be shy. Since you've called him out, my phone has returned to correct operation!

Ah - usually when discovered they just move on to some other fault making procedure - it's just a matter of time - unless you have passed your phone over a packet of chocolate biscuits in the mean time. They are small folk and easily distracted.
