    Kilt worn for first time

Received my kilt yesterday while I was at work and was finally able to put it on for the first time last night. Everything fit perfect except for the socks, which were a bit to small for my calves and not quite long enough. Other than that, I loved it.

Beautiful kilt, Nick! You look sharp.
Large calves run in our family too, you'll need to check around to find ones that will be comfortable. My sister makes my dad's.

I saw someone on these forums post a store that sells socks for people with large calves, I just can't remember the store. They had elastic sewn into them for extra stretch.

Celtic Croft sells hose for large calves. I don't personally need them, as my calves are about the only part of me that isn't oversized!

I have large calves also, my favorite hose are the Glenbeg from Buyakilt.com. They are very comfortable and long. http://buyakilt.com/glenbeg-kilt-hose.

Along with needing hose for large calves I also need them to be close to a size 16, and that can be a royal pain in the .

Hopefully with the links I've been given I can find something that will work.

    Think I found a winner http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/KILT-HOSE-...item748245c9e9

    Thanks 1oldsarge.
