Hello all
Hello,
My name is Joe, I am originally from San Antonio Texas, I'm in the US Army stationed out of Georgia. I first became interested in my scottish heritage when I found out my mothers maidan name of Campbell, my wife is from the UK and has the last name Seaton, I am currently in the process of tracking down my family history to narrow down which Campbell my family is, my wife's family comes from a very rich scottish heritage and I take pride in honoring both our ancestors, I am a novice craftsman and kilt maker ( I only just started my first kilt) any help advice y'all can provide me is much appreciated. I am very happy to be a part of this community and anything that I can do to contribute to it I will try my best.
Thank you
I look forward to hearing from y'all
Joe

Welcome from an exiled Scot now living in the West Midlands of England.
I have the name Seaton in my family tree, though quite a long way back.

Simon Fraser fought as MacShimidh, a Highland chief… wrapped and belted in a plaid over the top of his linen shirt, like his ordinary kinsmen. He put a bonnet on his head, and stuck the Fraser emblem, a sprig of yew, in it. With the battle cry, A'Chaisteal Dhunaidh and the scream of the pipes, they charged to battle.
