Thumbs up MOD Culloden DIY Sporran

This is my latest. I picked up the MOD cantle earlier this year and finally got around to bagging it. I decided to try something a little different. This is the second mink bag I've done and I really like the color an feel of it. The back and front accent leather was from Tandy and I had some leftover brown suede from my last sporran project that lined both front and back panels with. It was a fun project and it gave me some ideas for future sporrans. I'm going to attempt to dye some mink scraps black for a possible future dress sporran.

The second pic shows the color better.

Nice job. I have some mink pelts, I think I'll have to make a sporran of them as well. Cheers.

Very nice. I've still got the MOD cantle project on the to-do list, but have already tackled mink (albeit some thin vintage pelts upcycled from a Goodwill "stole," not the lovely thick one(s) you had!).

    Is that a Miracle brooch?

Yes it is. Luckily I have a full length mink coat so I can select the best section for my pieces. It does need to be lined to make it durable enough to take the weight of a wallet and keys.
