mystery Glengarry
A Scottish vintage shop on Ebay is selling this unusual Glengarry.
I can't remember seeing the combination of claret body and Lovat dicing before, very interesting.
Also interesting are the badges. What do they represent? Are they original to the Glengarry?

Almost looks like something worth grabbing if you're into historical bits and pieces, and find out later what it is. It sure looks original and authentic!

The badge appears to have a Khanjar on it which is the National symbol of Oman.

The cap badge is the Royal Guard of Oman. Here they are with maroon Glengarrys on but there is no lovat dicing in this era. There are also pics of them in Balmoral Bonnets.

Thanks guys. I didn't make the connection, because I've often seen them wearing red Balmorals.
In Nathan's photo the Glengarries look like they have red & white dicing. This Glengarry is strange in having Lovat green dicing.
