Kilt hose cuffs
Some time ago I saw advertised hose top cuffs. They were just the turn over part of the sock which you pulled on over your existing hose to give them a decorative top. Does any one know if they are still available and where I might find a pair? Thanks.
The Kilt is my delight !

I believe you may be able to get hose topper from 2 of our members, Sydnie7 and Big Mikey.
Check the members list and send them a PM.
I have been playing with toppers on my Circular Sock Machine but don't feel I have it perfected yet.
Does anyone know of anyone else?

I have been fortunate enough to meet Sydnie and Bob and enjoy their company. Unfortunately, I believe Sydnie no longer has time for creating hose toppers or her Flamingo Kilts. I own several pair of her hose toppers and they are definitely Top Shelf and I could definitely use a few more pair. I hope that there would be a few budding craftsmen filling a big gap.

We've been chatting with a local knitter who can make them... she's sorting out time / costings / designs / etc. What kind of price have others been charging for them retail?

I think I saw them for $40 once.

This is a sample of what my Original Hose Toppers are like. Haven't made any in quite a while but could probably still turn out a pair or two. I sold my version for $30/pair. Not done in a traditional knit style but effective none the less.
Have been informed that the link I posted opens up my PhotoBucket for all to see, nothing to hide but still want to preserve some privacy. If you'd like pics, contact me directly.

Big Mikey made a pair for me, and a matching set of garter ties. I'll post a picture as soon as I can.
EDIT: Here we are:

I got mine from Big Mikey but that was a few years ago and I don't know if he still does them but it would be an idea that you should contact him to find out.
