    May day birthdays

I am partial to all of us born in the "Merry, Merry month of May".
I'll include an early shout to the other members that share my birthday or "Mom's special day of grief and joy" on the 16th (PRask, Mark Thomas, Raybeez8 and Big Mikey..so far) Happy Birthday to us all!

Now it is our turn to show this "Rabble" what MAY means to us. Photos and comments welcome.

MODS: In my excitement to make a wish when blowing out the candles, I failed to open this in the Celebration Thread section. Could you please move it for me. Thank you.

Seven more days until the anniversary of the hardest (but one of the happiest) days my Mom ever had. I was 10 pounds and 2 ounces and 22 inches long at birth. She was a wiry Irish lass of 18 years old, 5 foot 3 inches tall and usually 109 pounds (without my burdened her.) She will be with me tomorrow in spirit.

To honor that evening 60 years ago, I bought a bag from the thrift store to convert into a sporran. I will open a thread and include photos as I proceed while making the sporran. I should be able to complete the task this week and will wear it in her honor for my birthday dinner (out on the town). Stay tuned folks, there is more to come.

Happiest of Birthdays to you Brother Hawk. I knew there were other quality folks born in this fine month.

As promised, I started a thread in the DIY section (Coach Conversion Sporran) for my gift to myself. I'll have the lovely wife take photos when we go out this Saturday. I expected more of you shy, quiet, May-Birth children to post photos here on your special day. There is still time.

I believe the Moderators can close this thread now due to tomorrow being June 1st, 2015. Thanks for all parents that made this a special month for the members that had no hand in choosing their birthdate. If I didn't contact you (PM) this month, I hope you had a Happy Day.
