    Earthquake

Hi guys! Was out with friends when there was a big bang and the house shook about 7:39 pm with a 3.2 earthquake followed 30 minutes later with a 3.0 quake. This just doesn't happen in Mississippi USA! We do live on the Saint Madrid fault line. Back in 1811 there was a huge earthquake in which the Mississippi river ran backwards. No damage to report to me or the area. We are all in shock!

Not even a tremor in Oxford. But am checking the internet after I post for news. Hope all is well and we are here (as we were when Hurricane Katrina hit the coast) to receive refugees. We did get a sinkhole that took out a huge section of Highway 6 on Thursday, but that was poor hydraulic engineering planning.

Hopefully that was an isolated incident.

I hope that there were no injuries, and that you will have no more. Over the last years, I have experienced a few here in the Highlands of Guatemala. They can be quite disconcerting, can they not? The ground is NOT supposed to move!!

I will point out that when the ground moves here in Mississippi, LOVE is usually the culprit, seldom by earthquake. I believe Dusty will agree.
