My second hand Maple Leaf tartan kilt!!

My only 2 sporrans.
But regardless, loving the way this kilt looks. And my new waistcoat! I found it at an antique shop.
Vintage from the 1920's or 1930's. But it's a little loose in the back, so I may have to have it altered.

^ As shown . It just bunches up when I have it tightened.

Absolutely smashing!!
So glad it worked out for you. I check kijiji every so often for kilts and that one has been sitting there for months. Good to know it's gone to a good home.
If you were any closer to me, I'd offer to move the buckles for you. However, if you're going to sew them yourself, as Steve mentioned, you don't sew all the way through. Keep your finger under the kilt as you sew and if you feel the needle pricking you, pull it back a tiny bit so as to not catch the lining.

Nice looking kilt. I love the Maple Leaf tartan myself.
You are lucky that you are svelte enough to fit in the vintage clothing. I fancy the 1920's through the 1940's styles as well (I'm also a Jazz saxophonist, and retro clothing is a common affectation among our "crowd"), but I am generally too hefty (read fat) to fit in most extant examples.

What a damned good word! Svelte.
My fiancée and I went to a 1920's themed party yesterday and I picked that up at an Antique store.
50% off of $60. Not bad if I do say so myself!

The 1920's is the decade I should be living in.

This is the rest of us at the party. It didn't come together "100%" but I think we all looked great.
My fair lady is the one in front of me with the floral gown.
