Headgear?....or no...

Good Day All,
I will be attending a wedding at an outdoor venue. I plan to wear my Scott Green tartan with matching flashes, white shirt, black tie, argyle jacket with waistcoat, black hose and semi-dress sporran. Since this will be held outdoors, would it be proper to wear my glengarry during the service?...Thoughts?...

Traditionally in the UK gentlemen take off their headdress during a religious service / on entering a church, I would therefore not wear headdress during a wedding religious or secular.

As I am not a religious type I am no expert on this and realise that each religion has its own view on these matters. However, assuming the elements are not too taxing, my natural inclination would be to remove one's headwear(headwear is not essential civilian kilt attire by the way) during the service. A quiet word in the ear of your hosts might be the way to go on this.

I'd vote for removing of headdress on sitting down for the ceremony. If your standing then remove it as you get into position for the ceremony.

Thanks for the responses...didn't think about the "church" aspect since it'll be in a garden, but you are correct....uncover while service is conducted.
