We will need a touch of a cold snap before the tweed comes out, but it's fun to dress for success. Now I'm looking for a couple of good leather satchels for shells and birds. Maybe spats or putees for the cactus and spear grass. Lol. It's prevalent.

Had the mention of the Parker double not been associated with shooting clays it would have crossed the line for rule 11, but this thread is walking the line, and not in the sense that Johnny Cash sang about.

Rule 11 should be taken seriously, please take a look at it, (as this thread is not going to qualify for the weapons section) - then continue to that sub forum to see what can be posted.

Just because it is quiet doesn't mean that there is nobody watching.

My wife's brother has offered a me spot over looking his soy bean field this Saturday. His words, "bring the 12 gauge, leave the kilt at home." He has out of town guests joining us and is afraid I'll frighten them or the birds.
Maybe during deer season when I have a shooting house available will I get the chance to "kilt up."

Uncivilized! But it's hard to pass up stalking a soy bean plot. Good luck! (Should hide the kilt in your car for afterwards)

Yes they are! Found them on an Israeli website for half of what the designer stores sell them for. You've got to wait a little longer, but well worth it.

The beans were harvested five days ago and there is a 20 foot tractor path around the field. A sage brush border at the wood line will give the birds an extra 30 to 40 feet zone of escape. Don't under estimate the bird's abilities.

They would be plenty safe from me with that much maneuver room.
