New to the World
Hi there
I am John From South Africa
And I am relatively new to kilt wearing
I am also the type of person who appreciates thing more when done myself
I got my first kilt for my wedding and now I am looking for a place that can weave me a Barnes tartan
If anyone knows where to point me I would be forever in your debt
John

Welcome and greetings from France John, Any of the mills in Scotland could make you the Barnes tartan, but I'm sure it would be pretty expensive for a short run of cloth, the lads and lassies on here will probably help more with your question, they have a wealth of knowledge. Kit

Welcome to the group, John. Member Mike Oettle lives in your neck of the world, and he might have some ideas to help you. Hopefully, you will get the assistance you need rather quickly.

Well met John.
I just finished a book on a family in Meridian, Mississippi that had a high infant mortality rate from 1986 to 1908 (they lost seven babies where none lived past 20 months of age). When I saw the title of your post, my mind was taken aback until I read the post.
Now, I can offer "best wishes" for the christening of a new Barnes kilt soon to be in your future without any foreboding. Welcome.
