    Yes a tartan kilt will make a real hit. Generally speaking ones wife does not wear a sash when accompanying their kilted husband to the theatre or out to dinner, they are usually reserved for more formal events. Just saying.

    A matching tartan for each of you would be fine (with hers as a sash). Your current photo has some nice touches with the watch, vest and matching tie/flashes. It gets easier after the first time among the masses.

    Wow! Love the kilt! Looks good - though as has been said, unless it's a Kilt Suit, I would go for a tartan and separate jacket

    Looks good.

    I myself have been to several concert and opera performances wearing a kilt; in my own country as well as in other major European cities. And every time I have absolutely enjoyed it.
