Wild Cat Tartan - third run, deadline for ordering 14 February
I know that many people on X-Marks have followed the Scottish Wild Cat Tartan from the first idea through its development. It is wonderful that something which began life with a post by Alan H here on X-Marks has turned into something which has raised awareness about (and money for) the Scottish Wild Cat and appears will make three runs of Tartan supporting proper Scottish weavers.
I follow the Wild Cat Tartan page on Facebook and noticed today that the last chance to join in the third run of the tartan is coming to an end on 14 February. I know many people here have expressed interest and I thought people here would want to know that if you want some of this Tartan, you had better hurry https://www.facebook.com/groups/1463...39029/?fref=ts .
Best wishes - Harvey.

Travelling and only have acces to my phone at the moment and can't seem to read the actual wildcat page from this device, but the prices are there so copying and pasting the Facebook info here.
"will keep the ordering book open for another fortnight( until the 14th February ) and then the tartan will be ordered, so if anyone has been thinking about getting some cloth or a scarf , please act soon otherwise you might be disappointed, The order will definitely be going ahead and then we all need to be patient until it is woven, but it's well worth the wait

I hope that gets you a link to answer your question.
Best wishes - Harvey.

I am stunned by the fact that we are having three weavings. I believe that Paul is planning on ordering a bit extra from Andrew Elliott, but how much extra I can't possibly know. While of course I think it would be grand if there was a fourth weaving, I have to say that even three is practically miraculous...four would be unheard-of. I mean, we'll have had over 220 yards of the stuff produced when this weaving is completed. This is an astonishing success for a new non-clan tartan that's not being produced for something like, say....the Commonwealth Games or something.
It's been over a year since we started taking orders for the first weaving. In fact it's been almost 14 months. Honest truth is that if you want some tartan, I think you'd better find the money this time. Otherwise, well...custom-woven tartan is awfully expensive.

Wow, looking back, I see that we voted on the designs in late September 2014. The first orders came in, in November, 2014. By January 2015 the first order was closed. It really has been 14-15 months.

I honestly think this is your absolute last chance, so if you want some, MOVE IT.
