Light bulb moment?
Over the time of this website there have been thousands of threads posted here, the tens of thousands of posts that have ensued from that OP, have created mirth, angst, interesting conversation and far more importantly enlightenment. So, can you name ONE thread that has opened your mind to an understanding on matters concerning the kilt that you perhaps have been struggling with?
Ok, the newcomers here may feel at a disadvantage,(there are some magnificent threads started recently too) but many of you have been lurking for quite a while and everyone(apart from me) has an amazing skill in delving into past threads and are impressively very well informed on many kilt matters discussed there.
Ok then chaps, what is your ONE "light bulb"(useful) thread and why?

I think my light bulb moment came when I saw the original "1 kilt 10 looks" thread from years ago. The gentlemen responsible (Panache and McMurdo if memory serves) took pains to demonstrate how the kilt can be in any setting from very casual to very formal. While I didn't particularly care for all the "looks" it gave me some insight on why certain outfits work while others seem mismatched. (For the record neither Panache nor McMurdo was ever mismatched.)

He's not a Christmas tree is he? We'll maybe have to start calling him Jock Pine then....

Yes sir....back on topic..... Some time ago Jock you posted a story about your young neighbour who used to regularly wear his kilt but was having misgivings. This contained a lightbulb moment for me as it gave me insight into where you are coming from in many of your posts. Not that I agree with you, mind, but I feel I have a better understanding of your and perhaps his feelings.
Cheers....
