Found this in a Scots newspaper on-line. Young man in full kilt rig goes to school prom via Dad's motorcycle and friends.
The pictures tell the story. Ya' gotta' love Dad's helmet.

Congratulations to the lad for his arrival and his dress sense. Riding a motor bike isn't what I'd do in a kilt but I suspect the whole group were going at "parade speed" and not at much danger.
20 years ago school proms were just about unheard of in the UK it's all been copied from American films. So Thinking about another thread, does that make them pretend Americans?

The most they had at any of the schools I went to ( 40+years ago) was a Christmas Disco, only one of the three Secondary schools and neither of the primary schools had that.

ARound here they've turned up in tanks! Fire engines ( preserved old ones) fishing boats on a trailer, helicopters and the inevitable stretched limos. Helicopters are now banned due to noise and unauthorized landings on the school playing field.!!

Wow I didn't know about all that, about making a "grand entrance" with unusual transport.

Here the big thing is to arrive in a stretch limo. That's it, as far as I know.
