    Military kilt forum?

Following on from OC Richard's Military kilt post in the traditional kilt section just. There has been some doubt about where to put these types of posts. As a suggestion, I wonder if a rewording of the Historical Section could solve this problem . Perhaps this section could be re-worded to "Military kilt Attire and Historical kilt attire"? Or Perhaps, there is room for a specific section for a "Military Kilts and attire "? I think there is and has been, more than a little interest shown here over the years for military kilt attire so, how about it?

I think we have enough reenactors and history buffs that would agree with Jock's idea. Some former posts (ie. sporrans of an era/war event) get bogged down from a construction point of view compared to who might have worn such an item for whatever reason.

Well rounded discussions are always welcome and I enjoy the fullness of reading all the views but narrowing this side of kilting could help those that have a particular interest. It is worth further thought and opinions.

I've flagged the post so that all Forum Moderators will see it. I'm sure we'll discuss the possibilities here.

    Thanks for making the suggestion.

Glad to take it forward. I'm sure that the members will continue to discuss the pros and cons here and that the Owner and volunteer Forum Staff will consider those thoughts closely.

Though not actively into military dress per say, I do find it interesting and the posts related to military dress seem to vanish in the bulk of non-military posts, I feel a sub forum for military garb would fit in nicely here
