Son of a...
I was going to hit that one with my brother-in-law from Pittsburgh! Had the trip all set-up and the two days planned...
Then the band was invited to perform at a "to do" in New York City on September 11th. A nice concert and celebration sitting across the river from the (once) World Trade Center buildings.
Unfortunately, a LOAD of the Eastern Pennsylvania folks will be at the Green Lane Scottish / Irish Festival that entire weekend. Free festivals are ALWAYS an attraction over on this side!

We do this one every year.Unfortunately, the Irish Festival was held at the same time on the South Side.Makes me wonder, can't we all just get along?

Why is it that seemingly everything happens at the same time?! Maybe you will be able to make it next year, Ed. I'll bet that a ticket to the Irish Festival is cheaper, though.
As is usual we had a lot of fun. A friend of mine has one of the clan tents [Irvin], and that gave us a place to take a break when the kids would get antsy or we were hungry.
Last year when I was at the games I vowed that this year I would have a proper kilt, and I did. It felt great. I ran into Jeff from PK who scolded me for wearing a traditional kilt instead of a PK.
