Who is wearing a kilt on St. Patrick's Day?

I wore my newly sewn utility kilt and my Gordon Ancient Red Tie. I'm not Irish but any excuse to wear the kilt works for me.

Me, me. Got a phone call a couple of days ago and will be playing a birthday celebration. The lucky St. Paddy's Day birthday fellow's spouse wanted a piper and I wasn't playing pub gigs, so.... The Gunn kilt has plenty of green, and I worked up 'Happy Birthday' on the pipes, so all is a go (famous last words.)

    The Shenanigans have begun!

My Scottish Clan Society MacCallum Malcolm asks that the males participate in a Family Tree Y DNA study to see if we can find any long lost kin amongst us. I have had my Y DNA tested and have had two hits of other Malcolms in my Society that we match up. We just don't know who the common ancestor is.

As it turns out in today's world my haplotype is most common in Donegal County, Ireland. The third most common question I get asked by strangers when I'm kilted is; "Are you Scottish or Irish?" My response is "Yes."

Newsome single box pleat in St. Partick's tartan

Douglas Ancient casual kilt from USAKilts, we are going to our favorite Irish pub so I'm not going to wear a nice wool kilt, where spills might happen.

Started the day wearing the kilt for the first time to work. Irish National tartan from Stillwater Kilts.

My assistant and I at work. Positive comments all around.

Heading out to play with the Whirlwind Dogs.

Reckon if there's a day to go overboard with the green, it would be St Patrick's day, eh wot? Guid on ya! At first glance I thought you might a been a fella I saw going into a pub here in Tallahassee. Then I realised that your kilt isn't on backwards... Cheers!

I was on the road for St Patrick's, but did get kilted-up for a Faerie Tea Party on Sunday... Does that count?

For once I did not wear a kilt this year for St. Paddy's Day. I wore a green shirt and white and green argyle socks, but that was about it. I didn't go anywhere other than to pick up the wife from the airport and then back home.
