At the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo

I had the opportunity of a lifetime to march in to the Tattoo with the Clan Buchanan on 21 August.

This is my wife and I prior to the event as we arrived at the Esplanade, one of me with a Dragoon, and marching up to the Great Hall.

The entire event was incredible and one that I will never forget. In the center photo I'm wearing my Ancient Buchanan bespoke traditional from Bonnie Heather Greene. The jacket is a Saxon tweed blazer that I had tailored. The sporran is bespoke from Wyvern Leather. The hose I bought in Scotland before the event and is House of Cheviot.

Psst. A wee whisper in your ear, I think that your "Hussar" is in fact a Dragoon!

Very sharply turned out, Sir and perfectly complemented by your dear wife.

I well remember my first Tattoo and that was nearly half a century ago - they even called out my home town at the start. I wonder if they still do that? I'm sure your memories will be equally great.
    Regards, Sav.
