    A Maud

So recently I've really wanted to try and get a Maud/Shepherd's plaid, But I've been looking everywhere and not found anywhere that sources them, I have however seen multiple people wearing them, So does anyone know where I could get one? I'm surprised the official Northumberland Tartan website doesn't sell them considering but eh.

Order a piece of tartan of the right size. Hem it or set up the fringes properly.

Voila! (Or "viola" if you're musically inclined.)

That's exactly what I was going to do until I realised hardly anywhere sources the classic black and white border "tartan" especially in big sizes.

I make kilts and plaids. Fly plaids, piper's plaids, and shepherd's plaids. I live next door in Lancashire, but don't hold that against me .

A good friend of mine in Scotland purchased one from Janis Embleton - Flight Weaving - in the Borders. He was extremely pleased with her work.
