Hi from Mahone Bay in Nova Scotia.
As long as I can think back, Was I fascinated with Scotland and specially the Highlands. Always had the wish to own a kilt.
Mid of October, a friend and I went to the Celtic Colours Festival on Cape Breton Island, we visited a concert at the Gaelic College, there I decided it was finally time to get my owen kilt after I saw a tartan I really liked at there gift shop.
After some inernet research, I desidet to go with Burnett’s & Struth. I ordered an 8 yard 16 oz Balmoral Kilt, I chose the MacGregor Hunting Ancient tartan. I was told I will receive it before Christmas, I’m very exited.

Been there may times Father Bill when I still lived in Nova Scotia and in Bridgewater. A Beautiful Town, and I believe the Mug n' Anchor is still operating. It was the best place to get their Steak Pie and Shepherd's Pie. The only better Shepherd's Pie was my Mum's...

Well met Chris. The wait for your kilt is known to us here as "jonesing". May your wait be short and the thrill (after receiving the kilt) greater. Welcome

Welcome from the Ontario shores of the St Lawrence River.
Haven't been to Celtic Colours in years, should really be making plans now and maybe that would cement it in for next year. Great music, people and countryside.

Welcome Chris from a Former Antigonisher, now living in Kitchener. Come 1 December I will be making the trek to Fergus to the Scottish Shoppe from whence I've ordered my Clan Farquharson Kilt. It is coming from Burnett's and Struth by way of Lochcarron in Scotland. I am quite familiar with Mahone Bay having lived in Bridgewater for a few years. One year you will have to make a trip to Antigonish and take in the Highland Games.
You kilt by the way sounds really awesome, when it comes you will have to post some photos to the Rabble so we all can have a look and Compliment.
Cheers
