Can you identify this Scottish Broach.
Our close friend's Aunt died. She was close to 86 years old and was born and brought up near Glasgow, Scotland, coming to the U.S. in the mid 50's. . We purchase some Scottish items from the estate, and one of them was this beautiful Silver Thistle Broach. I am sure its not real expensive, but seems to have silver markings on the back. I took some photos of this broach and some other items I will post and was hoping that somebody would be able to identify or give me some information about the broach. I have no idea about any of the items purchased. But did not pay very much for any of the items. The pin assembly looks rather old, say around the late 40s of early 50's. No locking mechanism on the pin. Here are photos of the Thistle Broach, more to follow under new posts....Thank you..

Below the Silver Markings on the back.

Besides getting the jewelry, we got 8 Edinburgh Crystal Whiskey glasses, some other crystal glasses (8). I have no idea who makes them, or where they were made. Also, an Edinburgh Crystal Fruit bowl, that has few small nicks, but still nice piece.
Any information about this broach or the marking in the back. I know you have the Scottish Thistle, and British Lion, have no idea what the 21 is or the diamond with "WBS".
I found it was Ward Brothers, of Glasgow , and was produced between 1948..1957 (registered Dec 1948). Any information on this shop? From other examples not an expensive piece but still vintage.
